Thrift Store Findings

Oh my, is it chilly or what? The house thermometer says its 61 F degrees! I am so turning on the heater. It was so cold this morning when I was walking to my ceramic class. Which reminds me, I will have to take some pictures of my bowls and cylinders and post them up soon.

So yesterday I went and had lunch with a dear friend of mine. Afterward we went to Goodwill to do a little shopping. We always enjoy finding interesting, cool things at the thrift stores. She’s such a sweetheart; she got me a pair of earrings. She also got herself a small wicker cabinet that goes over a toilet. Of course I soaked the pair of earrings in rubbing alcohol before wearing them.

Here’s the pair of earrings:

(Sorry the picture is so blurry.)

Well here’s some of my things that I have purchased over the year from thrift stores. Enjoy and take care~

These are cup coasters made in Japan:

An art painting of an Asian mother and a baby:

(The shape looks weird because I look the picture from a slant angle.)

An art poster:

Another Poster. It’s black and white:

(I changed the poster into a black frame. It looks much better than this sliver plastic one that it came in.)

Her name is Becka:

(I gave her a name, she’s so awesome! One of the coolest thing I’ve found!)

An over the shoulder Eddie Bauer’s purse:

Something I thought that was cute:

And lastly =) pots for my plants:

I have a lot more other things but I think this is enough for now. I have a collection of table clocks I will have to post up soon. Also everything that I just posted is in my room, well besides the plants. lol But can you imagine?!? haha

all photos belong to me.

What a day!

I think I’ve lost my brain… or just my memory. I have been so forgetful these days. It’s driving me nuts. Last week I had forgotten something at home while I was at school. This happened at least 3 times. I hate to go back and forth; it’s a waste of time and energy.

But to top everything off, today I forgot my paper for my photography class. I was kicking myself in the butt for forgetting them at home because that’s the whole point of going to photography class. Luckily my dear friend dropped them off for me. She’s the best. I don’t know what I would do without her. Of course she saved my day. I’m just happy the day is over and I can relax now. Its Friday tomorrow, that’s something to smile about =)

Happy Friday everyone! It’s going to be a 3 day weekend. =) Two weeks of school down only 8ish weeks left. Here’s what I developed today in the darkroom. Good night, enjoy~

It’s already January.

Time is passing us by, with no signs of slowing down.

These days I spend my time going to school and working. What I enjoy most is spending my afternoons snuggle in my bed with a good book while my nephew lay besides me. He’s so talkative these days, which can become annoying quickly! But I absolutely love him.

As for my weekends, I’ve been spending them with my family and trying to catch up with my friends. I’m going to see the movie “Tron Legacy” this weekend with a friend. I hope it’s good. We’ll that’s all that’s worth writing. I’ll leave with some pictures and art work.

Enjoy!

My recent art pieces

(These two were made out of magazines. Each one took around 3 hours. They were Christmas gifts to a wonderful friend.)

(These two were also made by magazines. Both took me 7 hours plus breaks and lunch time. I still owe these two pieces.)

all photos belong to me.
